LEGAL

TERMS OF SERVICE

EFFECTIVE 13 AUGUST 2026 · VERSION 1.0

◆ THE SHORT VERSION

Valocut is free to use. You own every clip you make with it. We don't claim any rights to your gameplay footage.

The AI that detects kills is very good but not perfect — it can occasionally mark a non-kill frame as a kill, or miss a real one. Always review each clip before you publish or share it.

Valocut is provided "as is." We take reasonable care building it, but we can't promise it will never crash, corrupt a file, or misread a frame. Use good habits: keep the original footage safe until you're happy with the export.

These are the rules for using Valocut — the desktop app and this website (valocut.com). Written in plain English, no legalese. If any clause is unclear, email contact@valocut.com and we'll explain it properly.

1. WHO THIS AGREEMENT IS WITH

These terms are between you (the person using Valocut) and Vinayak Sutar, an individual developer based in Maharashtra, India, publishing under the trade name Nayak Magic Labs on the Microsoft Store. Throughout this document, "we" / "us" / "Valocut" refers to Vinayak Sutar operating as Nayak Magic Labs.

Nayak Magic Labs is a display name, not a registered legal entity. All responsibilities and liabilities described here rest with Vinayak Sutar as an individual.

By installing, launching, or otherwise using Valocut, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't install or use the software.

Valocut is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Riot Games, Inc., the makers of Valorant.

2. YOUR LICENSE TO USE VALOCUT

We grant you a free, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Valocut on any Windows PCs you own or regularly use. You can:

What you cannot do with the software itself:

Valocut, the Valocut skull mark, and related branding remain our property. Nothing in this license transfers ownership of the software or brand to you.

3. YOUR CONTENT IS YOURS

Every video you import, every clip you cut, every project file you save — those are yours. Valocut does not claim any ownership, copyright, or license over your gameplay footage or edited clips.

Valocut runs entirely on your own computer (see the Privacy Policy for the details). We never upload, store, transmit, or make copies of your video files. Your work stays on your disk, in a folder you choose.

You are responsible for having the right to record and edit any footage you put into Valocut. In practice, gameplay you personally recorded from your own copy of Valorant is fine to clip and share; footage of someone else's private stream that you obtained without permission is not.

4. AI ACCURACY — READ THIS ONE

Valocut's kill detection uses a machine-learning model that watches your gameplay recording frame by frame. It's good, but it isn't perfect. In particular:

Always review each clip before publishing it. Valocut is a tool that assists your editing; it does not guarantee that every marked frame is a real kill or that no kills were missed. We do not represent kill counts or timestamps produced by Valocut as being independently verifiable statistics.

5. UPDATES AND CHANGES TO THE SOFTWARE

We ship Valocut updates through the Microsoft Store (auto-update by default) and through direct downloads on valocut.com. Updates may add features, fix bugs, or change behavior. We generally aim to preserve backwards compatibility for your existing projects but do not promise it in every release, especially during the beta phase.

We may occasionally deprecate or remove features. When we do, we'll announce it in the in-app inbox and in release notes.

6. PRICING AND FUTURE PAID TIERS

Valocut is currently free, including all features. We intend to keep the core "scan, clip, export" flow free indefinitely.

We may in the future introduce a paid "Pro" tier with additional features (for example: better AI models, additional export presets, cloud sync). If that happens:

7. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES VALOCUT USES

Valocut is offline for the core editing flow, but a few features involve online services operated by third parties. Full details are in the Privacy Policy. The short version:

These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. You interact with them only when you use the features listed above.

8. "AS IS" — NO WARRANTY

Valocut is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied — including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We take reasonable care building Valocut and testing it before release, but we cannot and do not guarantee that it will always work without errors, that it will work on every hardware configuration, that the AI will produce a specific level of accuracy, or that a bug won't ever cost you a project.

Recommendation: keep the original recordings safe until you've verified your exported clips are what you wanted. Valocut does not modify or delete the source video you import — but a full copy outside Valocut is the safest habit for any video-editing workflow.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any and all claims arising out of or related to Valocut — whether under contract, tort, negligence, or any other theory — is limited to the greater of:

Since Valocut is free, in practice this means we are not liable for monetary damages. We are also not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — for example lost profits, lost data, lost content, missed monetisation opportunities, or the cost of substitute software.

This limitation applies even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages, and even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. Nothing in this section limits liability for anything that cannot be limited by applicable law.

10. TERMINATION

You can stop using Valocut at any time. Just uninstall it. Your local project files, exports and settings remain on your machine unless you choose to delete them. If you're signed in on the Pro waitlist, you can delete your row by contacting us (see section 13).

We may end this license if you materially breach these terms — for example if you redistribute the installer commercially without permission, or use Valocut to process content you have no right to. In that case you must stop using Valocut and uninstall it. We will give reasonable notice before doing this unless the breach is so egregious that immediate termination is warranted.

We may discontinue Valocut at any time. If we do, we'll give reasonable advance notice via the in-app inbox and on valocut.com. The already-installed app on your machine will continue to work as long as it can; we're not obligated to keep updates or online services running past a shutdown.

11. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these terms — for example when we add a new feature, change a third-party service, or launch a Pro tier. When we do:

Continued use of Valocut after an update means you accept the new terms. If you don't accept them, uninstall the app.

12. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by discussion in good faith is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Maharashtra, India.

Before starting a formal legal proceeding, please email us first (see section 13). Almost every issue we've ever had with a user has been resolved by talking to them.

13. CONTACT

For anything related to these terms, licensing, or a dispute: contact@valocut.com

For anything privacy-related: see the contact address in the Privacy Policy.

For product feedback, bug reports, feature requests: use "Send Feedback" inside the app, or join us on Discord.

◆ THAT'S IT

Thank you for reading. These terms exist so we both know what to expect. If we did our job well, nothing in here should feel like a trick or a surprise.
